Whether you are at university and looking forward to a quick break from school, or you are planning a vacation to get away, there are plenty of cocktail recipes that will put you in the mood to have fun and embrace the beautiful weather. Whether you want a vodka-based cocktail or want something fruity and delicious, there are plenty of cocktails to enjoy on vacation. Here are just a few great recipes to try next time you have a day off and want to be refreshed:

Fishbowl

750 ml Absolut Mango
750 ml UV Blue (blue raspberry-flavored vodka)
5-6 servings of lemon-lime soda

Stir the ingredients together and garnish with orange slices and cherries. Perfect for sipping by the pool on a hot day!

Blue Kamikaze

1 ounce Blue Curacao Liqueur
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce lime juice

Fill a glass with ice and pour the cocktail over ice. Beware -- this is a strong drink with a likely hangover if you don’t take it slow.

Hand Grenade

¼ ounce Absolut Vodka
¼ ounce Midori melon liqueur
¼ ounce coconut rum
¼ ounce Bacardi 151 rum
Splash of pineapple juice

Mix the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice, shake and then strain into a glass of your choice.

Mind Eraser

When you want a serious cocktail, consider the Mind Eraser in a shot glass. Here’s what you need:

1 ounce coffee liqueur
1 ounce soda water
1 ounce vodka

In an old-fashioned rock glass, pour the vodka and liqueur in first over ice and then fill to the top of the glass with soda water. Garnish with a lime wedge and put a short straw into the glass. Suck the drink up quickly like a shot, using the straw to prevent getting a mouthful of ice.

Margarita

Nothing screams ‘vacation’ more than a margarita. Use any type of tequila you like with the two simple ingredients over rocks. Here’s an easy way to make margaritas:

3 ounces Tequila
2 ounces fresh lime juice
1 ounce agave nectar

Shake the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and strain over ice. If you want to get fancy, use a lemon wedge to moisten the lip of the glass and dip the glass in rock salt. Garnish the drink with a lime twist made from the peel.

Try one of these cocktails at your next party or sip a tasty cocktail on the beach!
